Course 2 · Module 3
Responsible Use
This module takes up the questions that come with regular AI use. You'll be able to decide what to disclose and who answers for the result, judge what's safe to put into a tool and what rights attach to what comes out, and weigh the evidence on whether AI use builds or erodes your skills. The module describes rules and research and helps you set your own practice; it doesn't give legal advice.
Module objectives
- Decide when and how to disclose AI use, and state who is accountable for the result.
- Judge what information is safe to give an AI tool and what rights attach to what it produces.
- Evaluate when using AI builds your skills and when it erodes them, using the research evidence.
Lessons
- Lesson 1 Responsible Use: Disclosure, authorship, and accountability You'll look at what publishers, courts, and a tribunal have said about who answers for AI-assisted work. You'll be able to decide when to say you used AI, how to say it, and why… 61111h 3m
- Lesson 2 Responsible Use: Privacy, confidentiality, and copyright in your own use You'll look at what happens to the text you give an AI tool, how that differs between consumer, business, and locally run tools, and what kinds of information to keep out. You'll… 61111h 3m
- Lesson 3 Responsible Use: Dependence, skill, and learning You'll weigh the research on whether using AI makes people better or worse at the underlying work. You'll be able to tell strong evidence from weak, and to set up your own use so… 611111h 33m
